Driver Background - Luke Jeffrey-Bashford
Luke was born in Surrey in May 2006, the family then moved to Nyetimber in West Sussex in 2008. Luke was educated during his teenage years at Felpham Community College, ultimately completing A-levels in Economics and Business Studies.
Keen to get to work, Luke secured an apprenticeship position with the Chichester, Horsham & Pulborough branch of the NFU Mutual. After completing his apprenticeship and compliance exams, Luke now operates as a full-time member of the Insurance advice team.
From a very early age, Luke developed a passion for all things connected to motorsport. Living only ten minutes from the iconic Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit, meant that Luke regularly attended their calendar of events, becoming a GRRC member in 2020.
Luke has experienced Kart racing over several years and has invested some 2000 hours at the wheel of his home sim set up. After successfully completing his ARDS test in August 2025, he received his UK Club racing license.
To take the next steps into motor racing and to provide the support required, Luke has enlisted the services of both Steve Kite, Instructor and Team Principal of Misty Racing in Hampshire, and the coaching services of Graham Johnson at the Goodwood Road Racing Company professional sim facility.
To relax, Luke enjoys a regular round of golf & gets out on the water sailing when he can.
